Lithium-ion batteries are batteries that use lithium metal or lithium alloy as the anode material and use a non-aqueous solution. The negative electrode of a lithium ion battery is a graphite crystal and the positive electrode is usually lithium dioxide. When charging, lithium ions move from the positive electrode to the negative electrode and are embedded in the graphite layer. When discharged, lithium ions are detached from the surface of the negative electrode within the graphite crystal and move to the positive electrode. Because the battery charging and discharging process lithium is always in the form of lithium ions, rather than in the form of lithium metal. Therefore, this kind of battery is called lithium-ion battery. Lithium-ion batteries have some of the following characteristics.

1. No memory effect. Lithium-ion batteries do not exist in nickel-cadmium batteries, the so-called memory effect, so do not charge the money as nickel-cadmium batteries, the same as the first discharge. Usually can also be charged at any time, no need to consider the battery power.

2. Long life. In the normal working environment, generally can be fully charged and discharged more than 500 times.

3. High and low temperature adaptability of lithium-ion batteries. It can be used in the environment of -20℃ -60℃. But try to prevent charging in a high temperature environment, high temperature will aggravate the loss of the battery, shorten the service life of the battery.

4. Green. As the battery does not contain cadmium, lead, mercury and other heavy metal elements, so there will be no environmental pollution in the use and production process, you can rest assured that the use.

5. High storage energy density and lighter weight. The storage energy of lithium-ion battery has reached 460-600Wh/kg, which is about 6-7 times of lead-acid battery. And the weight is only 1/5 of lead-acid under the same volume.

6. Small self-discharge can be stored for a long time.

7. Higher cost. Lithium-ion battery production requirements are relatively higher, the price is generally more expensive than other batteries.
